There are several ways to create new cases within Equinox. This section outlines the different case creation options that are available.


Create individual Cases


There are a few ways to create individual cases within Equinox please see the table below for more information:

All

This allows users to create a new case and input the case details.

Copy Case

All

This allows users to create a new case from an existing case, copying certain fields of information. Commonly used to create new cases within the same family to generate parent/child cases.

Generate Madrid

Trademarks

This option allows users to quickly create cases for international trademark applications that are filed under the Madrid System, by copying the base registration case.

 

Create a PCT Case Using an XML Import PatentsThis option allows users to quickly create an international patent case using an XML file downloaded from Patenscope.


Note: It is possible to use the options that generate multiple cases within Equinox to create a single case. For more information on how these functions work, please see below.


Create Multiple Cases


There are a few options that enable users to generate multiple cases from an existing case in the system.

 

These options are used to create national cases for international or regional applications E.g. PCT cases.
