To delete an Applicant, Inventor or Licensee, users would first need to remove the contact from any cases they are linked to.

 

Please see the module on ‘Case Navigation’ for more information on updating cases.


Once the Applicant, Inventor or Licensee has been removed from all cases the contact can be deleted:

  1. Go to the Address Book
  2. Search and click on the name of the contact
  3. Click ‘Delete’
    Note: If the contact is still linked to any cases users will see a warning that indicates which cases the contact still needs to be removed from before the contact can be deleted.
  4. On the Summary screen tick the box to confirm the contact should be deleted
  5. Click ‘Delete’ to confirm or click ‘Cancel’ to go back


This action is non-reversible.
