Allocate a single case to a budget

To allocate a case to a budget in Equinox:

  1. On the Finance tab, click Budgets


  2. Click on the budget you want to assign the case to


  3. Click Add Case in the Cases in Budget section


  4. Type the Case reference 

  5. Click Go

  6. You can now see that this case has been allocated to this budget.


Once a live budget has been allocated to the case, users can assign charges on the case to the budget. 

Allocating a case family to a budget

Equinox lets users allocate a whole family of cases to a budget at once. This means you don't have to spend lots of time adding each case in the family individually.

To add all of the cases in a family to a budget:

  1. On the Finance tab, click Budgets

  2. Click on the budget you want to assign the case to

  3. Click Add Case Family in the Cases in Budget section

  4. Type in the Family Name

  5. Click Go

  6. You can see that the case family is now allocated to this budget
