This article discusses setting up and changing standard charge rate options in Equinox.

There are two ways to set up standard charge rates in Equinox.

Option 1: Setting up charge rates via the system menu

You can set your charge rates in Equinox by going to the System Menu screen and clicking on Charge Rates.


The Charge Rates screen shows the information below. You can configure your standard charge rates in your default currency and in other currencies you work in. 


Note: Only administrator accounts will display a dropdown menu in the ‘Attorney’ field. If you are not an administrator you can only edit your own charge rates, not the charge rates for other users.

Option 2: Setting up charge rates via your ‘User Details’ page

You can also change your charge rates by going to the User Details page on the System Menu.


You can set your charge rates by entering the amount in the Charge Rate box in the Admin section on the bottom right-hand-side of the page.

Note: On the User Details page, you can only edit your standard charge rate in your system base currency. 

What happens if I only change my standard charge rate in one of the above screens?

If you change your standard charge amount in one of the above screens, Equinox automatically implements the value throughout your system, so there’s no need to worry about accidental inconsistencies.
