What is Client Access?

Client Access is a read-only, simplified version of Equinox, designed specifically for your clients. It lets you give your clients access to data such as cases, tasks and documents on Equinox that you want them to see. Each client has their own unique login to the Client Access System so they can view information about their cases as they progress.

Note: Your clients will only have access to data you have given them permission to see.

How is Client Access useful for me?

Client Access is useful for your company because it lets you:

  • Give clients access to data on Equinox without having to bother about producing spreadsheets, reports, etc., containing the data they want to see

  • Have full control over what information clients can access, without worrying about them editing data

  • Control permissions, deciding exactly what you want your clients to view

Where can I find Client Access in Equinox?

You can find Client Access in the System section of Equinox.

For more information on how to set up a new client account, see our article on creating a client access account.

How will my clients be able to view their Client Access accounts?

When you create a Client Access account, you'll add an email address and password that your client can use to access their account.

They can then log in to their Client Access account by entering their email address and password on the Equinox login page

What pages will my clients see in client access?

You control which information you give your clients access to. The pages you can let your clients see include:

  • The homepage, containing a map of their portfolio coverage

  • All Cases

  • All Tasks

  • Reports

Can my clients edit case information in their Client Access accounts?

No. Client Access is a read-only system, so your clients won't be able to change any of the information they can view.

Can my clients download information stored on Client Access?

Yes - if you give them permission to!

You can set up your Client Access accounts so that your clients can generate and download reports on the cases you're handling for them. See these articles for more information:

Do you offer two-factor authentication to make sure our clients' data are secure?

Yes! See our article on Creating an Account for more information.
